The Santa Monica Symphony opens its historic 75th season Sunday, October 20 with Conductor Guido Lamell sharing the stage with his Los Angeles Philharmonic colleague, Robert deMaine. Principal Cello of the LA Phil, deMaine will perform Dvorak’s contemplative and memorable Cello Concerto in B Minor. The program also includes Weber’s fanciful Overture to Oberon and Gershwin’s renowned An American In Paris. The evening begins with a pre-concert lecture by KUSC’s Rich Capparela. Complimentary cake and coffee will be served at intermission to celebrate the Symphony’s 75th anniversary season.
