Orchestra Santa Monica presents "Happy Birthday Amadeus"
Celebrate Mozart’s birthday (January 27th) early with OSM! The orchestra performs elegant early works by Mozart and concludes with his most dramatic symphony.
Mozart: Symphony No. 29 in A Major, K. 201
Mozart: Oboe Concerto in C Major, K. 314
Mozart: Symphony No. 40 in G Minor, K. 550
OSM Principal Oboist Catherine Del Russo is an active player with many orchestras in Southern California, including the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, the Santa Barbara Symphony, the Santa Barbara Chamber Orchestra, Long Beach Symphony, Los Angeles Mozart Orchestra, and the San Diego Chamber Orchestra. She has performed around the world and has done studio work in Los Angeles playing in movies, television shows, and commercials. A noted oboe pedagogue, Cathy is on the music faculties of Pepperdine University and Occidental College.
